  1. Hi James,

Just wanted to say cheers for doin this series… giving me lots to think about. I feel like i have so far to go…

  2. Hey Alan,

Thanks for the comment and your honesty! Even though I’ve already covered a lot of ground in a few episodes, don’t feel overwhelmed. It’s all about taking small steps one by one in the right direction. Every successful artist started with bad drawings and horrible paintings, but little by little they improved and found their nitch just as you will. Remember it’s not about perfection, it’s about progress!

  3. Hi James,

Just like Alan I want to say thankyou for doing this series man! There are so many places and people to get art critique and stuff from, but you are one of the few that are actually going deep into what it actually means to be a concept designer and that’s an invaluable resource for someone like me!

Can’t wait for the next episode!

I’m a self taught artist (who is really considering going back to school), and it’s nice to hear someone say i don’t need the degree as much at the portfolio. I’m never quite sure what work to pick for the portfolio though. Looking forward to the next episode.

    Thanks
